Although many find that the use of a driving guide is the best way to see the beauty of our country, the profession of driving guides officially does not exist. Years ago they used the reductive definition of English speaking drivers, namely English speaking driver. Reductive often as not only this driver spoke English, but even French and / or Spanish, but also because the knowledge of the language was not to understand when the customer gave instructions about the place where it intended to go, but rather to respond to tourists every time they sought information about the places visited. The customer often forgot that this person was his driver, or at least to have prompted the hotel concierge, or travel agent, for “a driver who speaks English” and began to refer to him as "my guide”.  He promptly clarified that he was not his guide, but simply a driver. The goal of our association is to fill a gap in the classification of operators in this sector of tourism. While the figure of the guide, interpreter and tour leader and that of the taxi driver and chauffeur are officially recognized, the driving guides or guide-driver, does not exist. Everyone can feel free to call himself this without anyone other than the market itself, can deny it. We do not want, at least not at this stage, to obtain that driving guides must pass an examination in order to be defined such, but rather that his professional skills are at least recognized by his colleagues. Given that none of the members has the presumption of being able to examine an aspiring member and decide whether or not these can defined a driving guide, this association, at least for now, welcomes all of those who are doing this profession with professionalism, honesty and dedication , as a private club to which we must be introduced by a member who is guarantor.
